PROBLEM
There is a lack of open source bridge protocols and software for the Cardano Ecosystem. This limits the effectiveness of a robust sidechain ecosystem
SOLUTION
Develop and open source a Cardano cross-chain communication protocol based on Inter blockchain communication standards to enhance interoperability of sidechains and the greater blockchain ecosystem
As a first output and to help steer the rest of the developmental roadmap we will publish initial design and architecture documentation and roadmap.
This module should be capable of observing a Cardano-based blockchain smart contract and taking action based on deposits to prepare the locked asset(s) for bridging.
This module should be capable of receiving a message payload and taking an action on a Cardano blockchain.
This module should be capable of receiving messages from an indexer and issuing messages to a mirror on Cardano networks (Cardano <=> Agrologos).
At this phase in the development we will showcase a functional bridge utilizing the VISTA framework between the Cardano Testnets: Preproduction and Preview.
